I do not know why but some 3d printer do not come with a layer fan. In my opinion, layer fans are must haves in every printer. The reason is it once the molten/melted pla is deposited on a layer it will tend to ooze if it Is still warm. Oozing plastic will result in bad layer construction in 3d prints.
in the video you can see the drastic difference in print quality with and without a fan.
dI have been following this youtube channel for a while and they are one of my driving force for all of my projects.
They just posted a video today about Bill’s (the host of Punished Props) birthday and YAY! he shares the same birthday as me. It would be great to meet these guys in real life one day. Maybe, one day . Oh well I will keep working on my props and post occasional videos and blogs and maybe just maybe we will meet one day.
Please visit their channel and download their free E-book celebrating their birthday…. our birthday. *cough* their birthday.
I used a soldering iron to clean the anime girl. Tracer’s model came out with a million holes and I tried to fill them all with the soldering iron. yea she didn’t come out well either. If i were to reprint her i would probably scale her up and add more supports. he model was rendered weirdly and isn’t very printer friend.
Hey Punished Props made a video of one of my favorite tools. Maybe I should start making videos of my favorite tools for cosplay making and maker making. Yes I am going to coin the term, “Maker Making”
I used the extremely accurate 123 blocks to measure and weigh down my drafts and prop work all the time. it comes quite in handy.
